Job Description

As a mover and packer for Top Notch Moving Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of our clients’ belongings during the moving process, both at pickup and delivery. Your responsibilities will include packing, loading, and unloading furniture, and household items, as well as other possessions such as fragile items and specialty items. You will also work closely with our clients and team members to ensure every move gets serviced the top-notch way.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a mover or packer.
  • Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items repeatedly.
  • Knowledge of proper packing, Loading, and wrapping techniques to ensure a safe transportation of items.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as hand trucks, dollies, and packing materials.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of keeping accurate inventory records.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a moving truck is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Packing and Unpacking: Safely and securely pack and unpack clients’ possessions based on company standards and packing protocols.
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload furniture, boxes, and other household items onto and off of our moving trucks.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of the household items to be moved and their condition. Assist in conducting inventory checks before and after the move.
  • Safe Handling: Use proper lifting techniques, equipment, and company protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and your team members.
  • Client Communication: Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner at all times. Address their questions and concerns, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve any unexpected challenges that may arise during the move, such as tight spaces, heavy items, or difficult access.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on moving equipment and report any issues or damage to upper management.

Day Range

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Weekends as needed.
  • Day shift.
